About me

Hola! I'm Yenthl, 22 years old and currently studying Tourism Management at Inholland University of Applied Sciences. I'm living in the Netherlands, or well, I can put it another way. My home base is in the Netherlands, but I like to spend most of my time abroad. Last year I lived in Norway for 4 months and this year I will be living in beautiful Malaysia for almost half a year. Call me crazy, but I'm just not very good in staying in one place for a long time.

This blog was meant to keep my family and friends updated while I was abroad, but I think it is much more fun to share my experiences with everyone who is interested. Maybe you want to know a bit more about a certain country or you just like to read stories from others (I do this all the time!). I get really inspired by reading other people's travel experiences, because you often read things that you cannot find in any travel guide.

Some people know exactly when they fell in love with travelling. Well, I don't. I think it just happened along the way. Every other book that I read, every trip to another foreign country... Sometimes I think it's not the place that I fall in love with, but the journey. And sometimes I even wish the plain would not stop flying, or the train rails would not have an end. Yes, I am a daydreamer and when I'm busy building castles in the air there is always someone who says: 'We're here!'. Back to the earth again.

So when do I think that I got this 'travel fever'? I know that my first encounter to a totally different world was when I was 2 years old. My parents took me to Australia to visit family. They said I loved the flight. I was running back and forth half of the time and I was sleeping the other 10 hours. So maybe, unconsciously, this trip already triggered my 'travel gene', if this actually exists? What do you think?

P.S. If you have any questions or comments, let me know!

PEACE.
